There are two ready video conference platforms a teacher may use in SilidLMS.
Please be advised that if participants joining the video conference use a mobile device, they need to download the latest version of Google Meet or Zoom via Google Play or App Store.
If the meeting is on Google Meet and participants use a computer browser, the browser (?) automatically accesses the meeting without the need to download the app.
However, if the meeting is on Zoom, the host and the participants need to download the Zoom app to experience better quality of Zoom meetings. The app can be downloaded at: https://zoom.us/download
Do not share the meeting link with anyone, and do not save the link in the computer browser. Please be aware that anonymous/unfamiliar or non-related participants can join the meeting or class if the link is shared with others.
Make sure to remind students to join online classes by logging in to the SildLMS using their account and accessing the meeting link in the Discussion Tab.
If the link was accessed by others who are not related to your class. Chances are they can join your meeting. They can get info about your class and who are your students. SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS JOIN THE ONLINE MEETING BY LOGGING INTO SILID.
